Odessa Governor, Mikheil Saakashvili responded to the death of the Georgian officer on his Facebook page.

"The officer Kote Lashkhia who was fighting in Mariupol, died in the result of an accident. Before, a number of Georgian officers died when fulfilling the combat tasks. Hundreds of Georgians continue to protect Ukraine. They all came here to defend our common future. I personally knew Kote Lashkhia, "- said the former president.
