The EU is waiting for a new proposal from Greece. The leaders of France and Germany stated at a joint news conference in Paris that the new offer from Athens should be realistic and convincing.

Merkel said the prerequisites for negotiations were not there yet. “The door is open to discussions,” said Merkel. “Europe has to remain united. Together we must see what the reactions will be of the other 18 countries, that is also democracy.”"Our door will remain open for new solutions. Now wait for offers from Greece, which will lead the country out of the crisis, "- said Angela Merkel.

The results of the referendum were discussed in a telephone conversation by Vladimir Putin and Francois Hollande.

According to reports, they discussed the possibilities of further development of the situation.

French President Mr Hollande said the door remained open for discussions after voters overwhelmingly rejected tough austerity terms set by international creditors.

But Mr Hollande warned Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras he must make serious proposals.
