UNICEF continues informational meetings about COVID-19. This time they visited Svaneti where prominent health experts held a meeting for the teachers about the COVID-19 vaccination. An interesting discussion was held and the experts responded to the specific questions.
After the meeting, most of its participants got vaccinated against COVID-19. The events are organized by UNICEF, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
As allergist/immunologist Bidzina Kulumbegov said, teachers’ decision to get vaccinated pushes other people around them to follow their lead.
“Strenuous efforts must be made to enable children to attend schools in September, and teachers should set an example for others by taking jabs”, - added Kulumbegov.
