The head of Kakheti Information Center , Gela Mtivlishvili claims that one of the Pankisi residents provided him with confidential materials which confirm that the Counter-Terrorist Center and its director, Irakli Chimakadze had information regarding two school children going to to fight in Syria.

Gela Mtlivlishvli writes that one of the main witnesses in the case, Giorgi Borchashvili has been cooperating with Counter-Terrorism center for several months.

The Information Center has also issued video appeals of the young men who went to Syria Muslim Kushtanashvili and Ramzan Baghakashvili protested against detention of the former imam and said that no one helped them in going to the "Islamic state" .

Ministry of Internal Affairs has detained a former imam Ayuph Borchashvili on the charges of assisting the schoolchildern in going to Syria. According to information of the agency, the investigation has extablished that Aiuph Borchshvili was the representative of the Syria-Iraq-based terrorist organization "Islamic state" in Georgia.
