The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, together with the clergy, hosted the Ambassador of the US to Georgia.

Kelly Degnan congratulated Ilia II on the 44th anniversary of his enthronement.

The US Ambassador stressed the role of His Holiness in the life of the Georgian nation, a nation that is historically a multi-religious and multi-ethnic country.

“The nation is happy when the church has such a wise leader”, - added Kelly Degnan.

The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia noted that the friendship between our countries has a long history and it should continue. At the same time, he thanked the Ambassador for supporting Georgia.
