“Smoking prohibited” - this sign appeared in taxis in Georgia. It has been 4 days since the new law came into force, after the decision of the Parliament.

According to one of the initiators of the Bill, Vladimer Kakhadze, the Bill, which the Parliament passed with 80 votes, prohibits smoking in taxis, boating transport, and vehicle that is used to transport minor.

The term “brand expansion” has been added to the law.

The institution will be obliged not to allow the presence of smoke, aerosol, ashes, cigarette-butts as a result of tobacco consumption, as well as a hookah and ash-try in the building and/or the area where it operates.
