The number of foreign visitors in December 2021 went up by 226.4% year-on-year. Such an information was released by the National Tourism Administration.
According to the annual report of the agency, 82,850 international visits were carried out last year.
Among them 76,818 - by air, 526 - by sea and 574 by railway.
As the report of Tourism National Administration reads, Georgia received revenues from tourism in 2021 amounted to USD 1,244,941,716.
The highest number of visitors who came to Georgia in 2021 were from: Turkey - 326,494 (-3%), Russia - 212,979 (+2), Armenia - 164,698 (-37%), Georgia (non-resident) - 151,559 (+8%), Ukraine - 144,901 (+242%), Israel - 100,686 (+291%), Azerbaijan - 82,718 (-72%), Kazakhstan - 66,787 (+385%), Saudi Arabia - 63,437 (+1179%), Belarus - 53,698 (+275%).
