The European Union Delegation to Georgia is monitoring Mikheil Saakashvili’s case from 3 angles - his health condition, his treatment as a prisoner and the fairness of his trials. Such a statement made today the EY Ambassador to Georgia.

“Tomorrow the Public Defender’s medical team should submit a report on the former president, which is a very important factor in assessing the situation.

Taking into account objective medical advice is an important factor when assessing the situation and what needs to be done in the future”, - said Carl Hartzell.
