Netflix’s motion to dismiss Nona Gaprindashvili’s claim has been denied by the Judge Virginia A. Phillips.

According to the Law Firm BLB, she did not accept arguments provided by Netflix with regards to the protection of freedom of speech.

“Law Firm BLB would like to congratulate the entire country of Georgia Mrs. Nona Gaprindashvili’s remarkable victory in the State of California, US!

A media giant - Netflix’s motion to dismiss Nona Gaprindashvili’s claim has been denied by the Judge - the Honorable Virginia A. Phillips. The Judge did not accept arguments provided by Netflix with regards to the protection of freedom of speech.

We congratulate you on this historic victory!”, - reads the statement of BLB.

Nona Gaprindashvili seeks over USD 5 million in damages for what the suit claims is a “devastating falsehood, undermining and degrading her accomplishments before an audience of many millions”.
