The interests of the employees dismissed from the Ministry of Culture will be defended in court by the Center for Social Justice, Fair Elections (ISFED) and Young Lawyers’ Association. Such a statement made today the Chairperson of ISFED Nino Dolidze.
“Violation of labor rights because people express a different or critical opinion, or because they simply do not agree with the policy of the Minister of Culture is unacceptable for ISFED.
Our organization is generally working for political release, we are also joining our partner organizations to protect the rights of the released people in the Ministry of Culture.
In general, we see in Georgia that different opinion is completely unacceptable, critical opinion is unacceptable, and the Georgian Dream, both at the party level and at the level of state institutions, generally dismisses people who have different views. We have seen similar repressive dismissals from the Ministry of Culture previously as well Ministry of Justice, so this is something constantly applied by Tea Tsulukiani”, - said Nino Dolidze.
