For the first time in Georgia, at the Tetnuldi resort, within the framework of “Freeride” week, the qualifying stages (FWQ) of the Freeride World Tour started today, February 8.
“Mestia municipality is the center of historical mountainous Svaneti region, where several major peaks of the Caucasus are located.
The competitions will be held in front of mighty Tetnuldi mountain (4852 masl) while on the opposite side the visitors will enjoy the sight of splendid Ushba twin peaks (4710 masl) and Shkhara (5201 masl).
The freeride week will include 2 competitions, minor –2 star and major –4 star freeride events in ski and snowboard disciplines”, - reads the information, released by Freeride World Tour.
