Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has supported the expulsion of Russia from the organization

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe unanimously voted for the exclusion of Russia.

216 members voted for the decision, 0 voted against and 3 abstained. The final decision on Russia"s expulsion from the organization will be made by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on March 17.

“Today PACE voted unanimously to call for Russia’s exclusion from the Council of Europe after 25 years as a member. I’m sad we had to do it, but glad we dared to do it, for the first time ever. The brutal aggression against our member state Ukraine is unacceptable, full stop. End the war now!”, - tweeted Tiny Kox, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
