There is a supply of products in Georgia and the country has no problem with imports. Such a statement made today the Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture.
“We have daily communication with importers. We saw some fuss over sugar, which was caused only by the fact that a certain part of the population made unnecessary purchases to replenish supplies. This process is carried out in such a way that there is no delay - both sugar and other products enter the country.
We do not import sugar from either Russia or Ukraine, so there was no reason for this fuss. We do not expect any delays regarding other products or wheat. So far, the country has supplies of both wheat and flour.
We monitor developments, work with businesses, importers and, if necessary, are ready to support connecting to relevant markets and contacts from which specific products may be needed in the future. However, today we do not see any risks in this direction and everything is in order in terms of product supply at this stage”, - said Otar Shamugia.
