Bar Association and the Human Rights Center call on law enforcement authorities to work out an effective mechanism for investigating crimes.

According to them, recently facts of human rights violations in police stations have increased but there is no response, and none of the officers have been punished.

Zaza Khatiashvili said the country should set up an independent investigative body that will investigate possible crimes committed by police officers.

"The government has started to take pointless, unjustified steps against the citizens. There is not a single week without acts of violence," - said Zaza Khatiashvili.
