In January-March 2022 the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 3 865.0 million, 37.9 percent higher to the same period of 2021. The exports equaled USD 1 171.8 million (43.3 percent higher), while the imports stood at USD 2 693.2 million (35.7 percent higher).

The negative trade balance was USD 1 521.4 million in January-March 2022 and its share in external trade turnover constituted 39.4 percent.
