Practical part of the “B” and “BE” category driving test will be held in two stages

The Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is fulfilling its obligations under the Association Agreement with the European Union.

In accordance with the amendments to the Law of Georgia on Traffic, beginning from April 26, 2022, the practical part of the admission test for vehicles of categories “B” and “BE” has will be held in two stages.

Citizens interested in obtaining the right to drive a vehicle will be able to pass the practical test according to the new standard in 9 structural units of the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. However, at this stage, due to the large-scale rehabilitation works on the roads of the Service Agency in Zugdidi, the candidates will not be able to pass the second stage of the driving test until the relevant works are completed.

The second stage of the practical exam will be held in accordance with the examination routes approved by the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia. Several examination routes have been developed for each examination service.

According to the changes, the first stage of the practical test will be held closed area, and the second stage - in real traffic conditions.

The candidate has the right to pass the second stage of the practical test within 365 calendar days after successfully passing the first stage. In addition, the interested person will be admitted to the second stage of the practical exam no earlier than 15 days after successfully passing the first stage. Herewith, the candidate will be able to apply for the accelerated service, the cost of which is 160 GEL, and in case of success, will be able to undergo the second stage 15 days earlier.

For passing the second stage of the practical test, it is necessary for the interested person to book a queue. Queues can be booked in the structural units of the agency, as well as through the website of the agency, mobile application or fast payment terminal. The driving candidate is obliged to appear for the second stage of the practical test 15 minutes before the time provided by the queue booking.
