Defence Minister observes drills at the Orpolo firing range

Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze observed the ongoing Gelati 2022 command-staff exercise at the Orpolo firing range.

In the drills demonstrated to the Minister, his Deputy Joni Tatunashvili and Brigadier General Koba Grigolia, the head of the Georgian Defence Forces Western Command, a tactical group of the 32nd Infantry Battalion of the 3rd Infantry Brigade “successfully carried out a defensive operation”.

The manoeuvres were supported by anti-aircraft forces, artillery, engineering elements, as well as mechanized, tank and anti-tank units.
