Yesterday’s briefing of President was directly aimed against Georgia getting the EU candidate status. Such a statement made today the Chairman of the Georgian Dream.

“We would not consider it necessary to respond to Salome Zourabichvili’s statement, but we respect the Constitutional status of the President and, therefore, we will briefly touch upon several passages of her briefing yesterday.

Unfortunately, her briefing was directly aimed against Georgia getting the EU candidate status. On the one hand, Salome Zourabichvili says that the radical opposition was acting against the state in Brussels, and on the other hand, she is publicly repeating the lies on which the anti-state campaign of the United National Movement and its satellites is built.

When she said a week before deciding on the status of a candidate that Georgia was in first place last year, in July, and is now in last place in relation to Ukraine and Moldova, this statement can only be given the harshest assessment.

The President’s so-called assessment is a lie and it does not even matter in this case. When Salome Zourabichvili declares a week before the decision on the status of a candidate that “there are no arguments left, there is only a small chance of getting a candidate status”, it is a continuation of the anti-state rhetoric of the radical opposition.
