We should all do everything together to make our country as soon as possible a member of the great family that is called Europe. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

“The Georgian Government will not allow anyone to endanger the development of the country and to harm the country with his narrow partisan interests.

We will not allow the implementation of the plan devised by dark, destructive forces and we will not allow anyone to endanger the development of our country, to harm the development of the country and the progress of the country with his narrow partisan interests.

It is disappointing when a political decision is made. We can directly say that our country was punished by not giving us status, but I repeat, we should not give up. We will continue working and I am sure we will be able to obtain this status.

Two countries were granted status and Georgia was left without status. This is very bad and unfortunate. We know why all this happened. We must continue to work towards fulfilling the reservations as soon as possible, as we did with regard to the Association Agreement and visa liberalization.

We will do everything and I am sure we will get the status in the near future. It is very disappointing when we hear statements that Georgia is not a geopolitically interesting place.

A direct statement was made in this regard, which is disappointing. We have been moving in this direction for 30 years and it is surprising if they have just discovered our location and I do not know what to comment on it.

However, I repeat, under no circumstances should we give up, we should all do everything together to make our country as soon as possible a member of the great family that is called Europe and the European Union”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
