"The seizure of accounts s would have been our organization"s commercial death, so virtually we would have been closed down," - Nika Gvaramia

Rustavi 2 Director General stated that statutory limit of lawsuit filed in the Court against the station has expired.

He spoke about it at a news conference and said that Urtmelidze belonged to the so-called"Zonder " judges, the group of judges set up by Tsulukiani in November 2012.

Gvaramia said that the judge Urtmelidze made an illegal decision and placed the property rights above the media freedom.

"Another point is that the right to property is questionable because the lawsuit, which is discussed lacks perspective. The validity of plaintiff appeal on forceful seizure of property is one year", - said Gvaramia.

Gvaramia claimed that yesterday teh decision was not taken yet when executive documents were issued.

"The government was waiting for the public reaction, since they saw that the public reaction was very severe, this decision rejected the petitioner demand on the seizure of our accounts. The seizure of accounts would have been our organization"s commercial death, so virtually we would have been closed down. If it were not for public reaction, this decision would have been taken too, "- said Nika Gvaramia.
