The State Security Service of Georgia [SSSG] responds to the illegal detention of citizen of Georgia, Kristine Takalandze, by the occupation regime of Abkhazia.

“Representatives of the occupation regime of Abkhazia illegally arrested Georgian citizen Kristine Takalandze. Regarding the illegal detention, the SSSG immediately activated the hotline and informed the EU Monitoring Mission and the co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions.

Active work is underway and all available mechanisms are being used to release the citizen of Georgia from illegal imprisonment.

Illegal detentions carried out by the occupation regime complicate the daily life of the local population and severely damage the security environment”, - reads the statement of SSSG.
