The ruling team denies its connection to the fight against Rustavi 2 launched by Kibar Khalvashi. The memberrs of the ruling party say they are not going to interfere in a court dispute, because the hearing must be conducted independently of political influence.

Some government officials openly took Kibar Khalvashi side in connection with the Rustavi 2 shares.

The opposition imposes responsibility on the seizure of 100 percent of shares on the authorities. The UNM members believe that government is putting pressure on independent media sources, freedom of speech and expression.
