The Government of Georgia will buy 3 new helicopters. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs is now actively working on the purchase of three new helicopters. Although all the helicopters are absolutely perfect, in good condition, we pay a lot of attention to them, we had a discussion about it.

As you know, the state has one expensive, luxury helicopter, which was purchased by the previous government for the former President, and several tens of dollars or euros were paid for this helicopter. Our decision was that no one used this helicopter.

I must emphasize here that despite the speculation that this helicopter is used in rescue operations, it is a lie. We had a discussion and made a decision that we will return this helicopter to its manufacturing factory, that is, we will sell it, and instead we will buy three new helicopters, which will be useful for various rescue and other operations. Active negotiations are now underway and the Ministry of Finance is also involved in this process”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
