Georgian Defence Minister attends Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting at Ramstein Air Base

The delegation of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia, led by Minister Juansher Burchuladze, attended the meeting of the Defense Contact Group of Ukraine at the US Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the meeting was hosted by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and the Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley.

The situation in Ukraine, country’s needs and opportunities, as well as future prospects and the opportunities of NATO member and non-member countries to help Ukraine were discussed at the Ramstein format meeting.

Involving defence ministers and high-ranking military personnel from Western-aligned nations, the gathering support Ukraine and condemn Russia’s “unjustified and aggressive” war against the country.

Georgia attends the Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting at the invitation of the US Department of Defence.
