TV company Maestro issued a statement regarding the processes around Rustavi 2 which states that despite drastically different editorial policies, principles and objectives of Maestro TV and Rustavi 2 , the TV station considers that the state has no right to intervene in private media activities. MaestroTV calls on the government not to interfere with a civil dispute between private individuals. The statement was spread in the TV news program.

"Despite the fact that the TV Company Maestro and Rustavi 2"s editorial policy, principles and objectives significantly differ, we consider it inadmissible for the state to intervene in the private media activity. Therefore, we urge the government not to take part in the civil dispute between individual and hope that the trial will be objective and impartial .

This issue is particularly sensitive for us , as the company Maestro experienced constant pressure from the previous government for years.

Therefore, TV company Maestro will pay special attention to the processes around Rustavi 2 and will regularly provide the public with objective information about the ongoing processes, "- says the statement released by the TV Maestro.
