In 2008 the “Buk” missile complex was purchased from the state budget - we have nothing to thank anyone for, because we have paid the taxpayers’ money. Such a statement made today Rati Ionatamishvili, Georgian Dream, in response to Ukrainian Chargé d’Affaires in Georgia, Andrii Kasianov.
“If we look at the chronology, it turns out that when even the USA refused to close the skies for Ukraine, we were asked to provide air defense complexes to Ukraine. Let the society draw its own conclusions about what we are dealing with.
The logic is also unclear - if the US could give new equipment to another country, it is most logical that it should have been given to a country at war - all this raises questions. This raises another question mark in all of this, which obviously our society will focus on.
As for the issue of the transfer of missile complexes, we cannot call it support when we buy military equipment from the state budget and buy it at a very high price”, - said Rati Ionatamishvili.
