The Kremlin is dead, I cannot say anything positive for Georgia if it is not on the side of Ukraine - Ben Hodges

I don’t understand why the Georgian Government has handcuffed itself to a corps, which is the Kremlin, said the US General, the former Commander of the US armed forces in Europe, Ben Hodges, at a public meeting organized by the Center for Economic Policy Research, the topic of which is the war in Ukraine.

“The Kremlin is dead, and I cannot say anything positive for Georgia if it is not on the side of Ukraine. At least Ukraine is good, and Russia is the aggressor, and the position that we, Georgia, will not do anything that would add at least a little legitimacy to what the Kremlin does or says, does not increase the risk of Georgia"s involvement in the war.

All it does is put Georgia on the right side of history. My assessment is that the majority of the Georgian people support Ukraine, and this somewhat separates the actions of the government and the wishes of the people.

However, it depends on the Georgian people, where do you want to be a year from now, with the Russian Federation, which is potentially starting to disintegrate?!”, - said Ben Hodges.
