Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia met Edward Arkwright, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a Groupe ADP (Aéroports de Paris). The French company acquired shares and became the owner of TAV Airports.

Dignitaries reviewed the cooperation prospects and development strategy for the future of airports. According to the Head of Government of Georgia, swift economic advancement of the country, coupled with a growing inflow of tourists creates grounds for setting ambitious plans in Georgia. Focus was made on further advancement of services at international airports of Tbilisi and Batumi, along with a significance of this aspect.

Officials also spoke about a long-term development plan of the Tbilisi International Airport, which is being completed. The Head of Government of Georgia shared his own ideas with the visiting delegation about a so-called Masterplan, thereby noting that the Government of Georgia stands ready to actively cooperate in future inter alia towards promoting the entry of new air carriers and route destinations.

As for the Batumi International Airport, work will be completed on the development of its plan in February of the current year.
