The director of Batumi Boulevard and representatives of the company make contradictory announcements on damage of the statue of Ali and Nino. According to the director, the statue of Nino crashed and was damaged during the demolition because the  rope was detached.

" The decision was taken due to danger of collapse. The security measures were  followed, but the rope was broken."- Giorgi Zirakashvili said.

The representative of the company, which carried out the demolition denies information. Mamuka Jgenti says that the statue is slightly damaged and will be recovered in an hour.
