The Speaker of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili met with the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of the Republic of Moldova, Oleg Serebrian.
The parties underscored the unique historical and geopolitical connections between Georgia and Moldova. The discussion included the common European agenda, particularly the method of putting the European Union’s suggestions into practice. The parties emphasized the value of parliamentary collaboration and knowledge exchange. They also talked about the effects of Russia"s war in Ukraine and regional security challenges.
During the meeting, Shalva Papuashvili pointed out that Moldova and Georgia have a lot in common.
"We have been working together on the European integration process since June. Because of the historical significance of this time, we should cooperate and share our experiences”, - Shalva Papuashvili noted.
Oleg Serebrian asserts that the two nations" relationship is unique from a historical and geopolitical vantage point.
"We have been dealing with similar challenges, such as separatism and occupied territories”, - the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of the Republic of Moldova noted during the meeting.
