NATO Secretary General commented on a legal dispute against Rustavi2 in an interview with the TV company. Jens Stoltenberg underlined that freedom of media has a special importance for any democratic society.

" It would be wrong to speak about the specific cases, because I do not have accurate information. It is not my function , it is the decision of the legal authorities of Georgia. Freedom of expression and free media is fundamentally important for any democratic society. These are values that are essential for Georgia. The reform process must show that these values are protected and the court and the prosecutor"s office are independent, "- said Stoltenberg.
