Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Governor Seyfullah Hacımüftüoğlu, Secretary General of the National Security Council of the Republic of Turkey.
The conversation at the meeting revolved around the strategic partnership and prospects of future cooperation between the two countries. As noted at the meeting, the Governments’ commitment to furthering and strengthening the existing partnership is commendable.
It was emphasized that Georgia appreciates Turkey’s strong support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and the country’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
The importance of further deepening bilateral strategic partnership was emphasized, not only in political and economic directions but also in the area of security.
Special attention was paid to the security cooperation between Georgia and Turkey. The importance of further strengthening interaction in this direction for ensuring the region’s stability and sustainable development was underscored.
The meeting at the Government Administration was attended by Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of turkey to Georgia Ali Kaan Orbay.
