Foreign Minister of Georgia meets with the Secretary General of the National Security Council of Turkiye

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, held a meeting with the Secretary General of the National Security Council of the Republic of Turkiye, Governor - Seyfullah Hacımüftüoğlu.

At the meeting, the sides emphasized the existing strategic cooperation between the two countries, which is successfully developing both in bilateral and multilateral formats.

The Secretary General of the Security Council once again confirmed Turkiye’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, as well as for its Euro-Atlantic integration. Discussions focused on the security environment in the region, current challenges and peaceful ways to solve them.

The sides especially noted the importance of cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Turkiye, for sustainable and stable development of the region. They also expressed their willingness to further deepen bilateral cooperation in economy, trade, security and people-to-people contacts.
