The Prime Minister congratulates the Special State Protection Service on its 29th anniversary.

“I wholeheartedly wish a happy 29th anniversary to the leadership, personnel, and every active or retired employee of the Special State Protection Service of Georgia.

After the restoration of Georgia’s independence, you assumed the most important mission, subsequently having served the country’s safety and stability, and the cause of protecting and strengthening its statehood, for almost three decades.

Alongside professionalism, your responsible and, at the same tie, high-risk work also requires selflessness. Today, I join you in paying homage to the memory of our heroes, your friends and colleagues killed in the line of duty.

I am excited because today we can say with confidence that-through the efforts of the service’s leadership and each and every one of you, and with support from the Government and our political team-the Special State Protection Service has evolved into a highly professional, European-standard, modern institution that fully meets the challenges of our times.

I thank you for your loyal service to the Georgian state. I promise you continuous support and wish you and your families further progress, peace, and prosperity”, - writes Irakli Garibashvili.
