Zonal-hourly parking system will be launched on several more streets of the capital from October 1. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.
“One of the important components of our transport policy is the zonal-hourly parking system, which we launched a few years ago and we want to gradually introduce it in all districts and on all streets.
Parking in zonal-hourly parking areas is free for local residents, persons with disabilities, electric car owners and A category taxi drivers. In other cases, the cost of the standard tariff is unchanged and amounts to one GEL for one hour.
Also, let us remind you that the citizen can use the first 15 minutes free of charge at four different locations during a day.
From October 1, zonal-hourly parking will be launched on the following streets: in Chugureti district - Ivane Javakhishvili Street, Saarbrucken Square, Ninoshvili and Uznadze streets and the surrounding area; in Mtatsminda district - Lapiashvili street, Chovelidze and Janashia streets and surrounding area; In the Vake region - the area around the Turtle lake turn.
Local residents will be able to register for free parking in zonal-hourly parking areas and receive other necessary information at information booths from September 1”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
