Parliament hosted the Ukrainian teenagers affected by the Russian military aggression

The Parliament hosted the teenagers affected by the Russian military aggression who came from the Ukrainian city of Lviv.

“I am delighted that we have the privilege of welcoming you to the parliament and being a co-organizer of your visit to Georgia. We want to extend our friendship and support to you not only through words but also by embracing you as part of our families during this challenging period that Ukraine is going through. It is crucial for us to express our love and friendship, allowing us to look forward with optimism. As Georgia has experienced similar challenges in the past, we believe we are one of the few countries that truly understands the feelings of the Ukrainian people, especially the younger generation. Our aim is to demonstrate solidarity and friendship, and to contribute our energy to the beacon of hope that shines brightly within you”, - said the Speaker of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili.

The Chairman, Vice-Speaker, and other members of parliament presented certificates and souvenirs to the Ukrainian guests as tokens of appreciation and remembrance. An excursion was organized for them in the Parliament Palace to showcase the historical and cultural significance of the institution.

A group of 46 music school students, accompanied by their supervisors, will be staying in Georgia from June 22 to July 1, participating in a variety of cultural, educational, and recreational activities.
