Kakheti wine grape growers have changed their intention to meet with legislators in the Parliament today. They said that the meeting was pointless and they still prefered to hold rallies.
The majority states that the Minister of Agriculture will solve the problem through dialogue with farmers. According to the ruling party, part of the grape harvest has already been sold, and part of the wine growers are satisfied with the proposed subsidy .
A nosiy meeting between the farmers unhappy with subsidy and legislators was held last week. Their main demand is the increase in grape prices and timely purchase of grapes by factories. The meeting ended without any concrete results.
