Behavior of the group sent by Polish government gave rise to a suspicion that they might have intended to falsify the analysis of Saakashvili - Papuashvili

The behavior of the group sent by the Polish government gave rise to a reasonable suspicion that they might have intended to falsify the analysis of the former president. Such a statement made today the Chairman of the Parliament.

“A group of doctors went to Mikheil Saakashvili, they did all the necessary research and left. After that, one of the doctors went back and secretly took the same analysis. Then they tell us that it turns out that this person has a habit of keeping things in their shoes. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked the Embassy for an explanation. The Deputy Ambassador said he had no information. He was asked to consult the government. Yesterday we saw a statement from the Polish Foreign Ministry, which didn’t give us any explanation.

In fact, the behavior of the group sent by the Polish government itself gave rise to reasonable suspicion that it might have been intended to falsify the analysis based on the very scenario we have seen so far. The Polish government now has the burden of proof to dispel this suspicion, not to make claims as to why the camera turned out to be near the ward, etc. They should dispel doubts.

Unfortunately, we saw in yesterday’s statement that the Polish authorities did not even try to dispel this doubt. They still have to explain what motivated this behavior. We think it is important to know the motive, since in this case the goodwill of our government was abused. It undermines trust when such actions take place and there is no reasonable explanation”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
