The proceedings regarding the loss of Georgian citizenship of the former Prosecutor General of Georgia Otar Fartskhaladze have been started. Such a statement was released by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia,

“Due to the public interest, we are disseminating information that the State Services Development Agency has started proceedings regarding the loss of Georgian citizenship of Otar Partskhaladze. After the completion of the relevant procedures, the agency’s conclusion on the termination of Georgian citizenship will be sent to the President of Georgia as soon as possible”, - reads the statement.

The US imposed sanctions on the former Prosecutor General of Georgia Otar Partskhaladze. Following this, the State Security Service has started studying the issue of the sanctoning of Otar Partskhaladze.
