Residents of Thessaloniki arrested a robber, when the perpetrator tried to break into a goldsmith"s shop, writes Greece media.

The perpetrator, of Georgian origin, tried to enter the goldsmith"s shop, located on Venizelou Street, in the center of the city, with the intention of robbing it.

However, residents, including the brother of her employee, tried and succeeded in immobilizing the perpetrator and immediately after calling the authorities.

Police officers rushed to the scene and officially handcuffed the perpetrator.

The perpetrator, who had a loaded gun on him, is being held at the Lefkos Pyrgos police station and is being tagged.
