Natia Turnava, Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, met with Arturo Bris, representative of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), who publishes the World Competitiveness Ranking.
At the introductory meeting, they discussed the prospects of future cooperation and the opportunities that Georgia’s inclusion in the Ranking will bring.
As mentioned at the meeting, the IMD’s interest in Georgia is due to the right positioning of the country in the international arena and the top positions in other trusted ratings. The new Ranking will be assessing Georgia based on its infrastructural, institutional and economic environment.
“We are pleased that a respected international institution such as IMD is interested in cooperation with us. We will be happy to see Georgia being ranked in the World Competitiveness Yearbook along with other trusted ratings. Their willingness to cooperate with us is due to the openness, transparency, and smooth and sustainable functioning of the NBG and the entire financial system of Georgia”, - said Acting Governor of the NBG after the meeting.
The International Institute for Management Development (IMD), established 75 years ago, publishes the World Competitiveness Ranking every year based on a number of competitive criteria.
