The fire broke out in the area surrounding the village of Banoja . Bush fire broke out and spread to several hectares. A nut orchard belonging to one of the local resident has burned down.

Kutaisi, Tskhaltubo, Khoni, Zestaponi and Samtredia fire - rescue crews were mobilized at the scene.

To The windy weather hindered the process of extinguishing fire , which is why the fire could not been localized in some areas till late.
