Georgian NGOs comment on the scandalous statement signed by 13 international organizations. They believe that by ignoring the announcement , the government will go against the international principles.
"These projects shouldn"t be implemented. We don"t even speak about the corrections. If the government refuses to take these positions into account, it means that their vision and the vision of the government will differ. As these companies are consultant organizations of UNESCO, such decision will mean that the state will be against internationally recognized principles of heritage protection,"- said Tsira Elisashvili, a head of the planning and restoration center.
