Georgian, Croatian justice ministers sign deal on deepening relations between the countries

The Georgian Justice Minister and the Minister of Justice and Public Administration of Croatia signed a deal on deepening relations between the countries for bringing Georgia’s penitentiary legislation closer to European Union standards.

The deal also involved electronic governance, effective management of penitentiary systems and rehabilitation and resocialisation of convicts.

Rati Bregadze and Ivan Malenica signed the document on the sidelines of the Conference on Innovations in the Rehabilitation and Resocialisation Process of Inmates and Probationers.

Hosted in Tbilisi, the conference featured professionals from over 20 countries, domestic officials, public servants and non-governmental organisations.
