Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, European Commissioner for Energy visited the Wind Electric Plant in Shida Kartli

The Vice Prime Minister / Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili, and European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, visited the Wind Electric Plant in Shida Kartli.

Implemented in 2016 with the EU financial support, the Minister described the project as an excellent example of Georgia-EU cooperation in the renewable energy sector.

As Kadri Simson said, investing in Georgia in wind and solar electric plants is significant for the country to ensure uninterrupted trade with electric power for the entire year.

The sides pledged to continue cooperation in the renewable energy sector as one of the priorities of the Georgia-EU partnership.
