The Parliamentary Delegation headed by the Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili is participating in the NATO-Georgia Commission sitting in Brussels; the sitting aims at the discussion of the NATO integration of Georgia.
“We serve the visit to NATO Headquarters. It is imperative that we are meeting with the Deputy Secretary General, and I am also addressing the Commission. The discussion will cover the integration issues and what’s headmost is that the discourse will include the consideration of the security milieu in Georgia and a wider region. I expect it to be engrossing. I will enjoy another window of opportunity to participate in the NATO-Georgia Commission sitting.
In January 2022, I served my first visit in the capacity of the Speaker of the Parliament to NATO Headquarters in Brussels right before Russia waged an aggressive war against Ukraine. And now, after a year and a half, we are to recall the then discussions and recount the way that Georgia has been through striving to maintain the security milieu at the level to ensure the safety of our citizens and to maintain a safe corridor for NATO as a connection between Europe and Asia”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
