Generally, buttressing the prestige of the teacher’s profession is one of our Government’s key priorities - Garibashvili

According to the Prime Minister of Georgia, after the Georgian Dream Government’s coming to power, more than one Minister launched important innovations, accomplished much work, but challenges remain, and Minister of Education and Science Giorgi Amilakhvari has a well-thought-out vision for overcoming these challenges.

“After we came to power, many Ministers launched important innovations, accomplished much work, and many reforms were implemented, but challenges remain, and our Minister, Mister Giorgi Amilakhvari, has a well-thought-out vision. We are working very actively, closely on solving these issues. I will briefly share my ideas on individual topics.

Firstly, I would like to say that quality education is what matters to us most, of course. Quality education remains the main challenge, and all studies show this. Generally, we know well that it remains one of the main challenges. We have started regulating important issues. I would like to point out several important things. It is about the professional development and support of our honorable teachers.

The Government fully realizes the importance of this matter, and we pay special attention to the professional development of teachers, and this support will continue. Generally, buttressing the prestige of the teacher’s profession is one of our Government’s key priorities.

To this end, we actively continue working on the implementation of initiatives in support of teachers and toward improving their working conditions. Allow me to remind you that, at the Minister’s initiative, intensive work is underway on upgrading the professional development scheme for teachers, which builds on a brand-new vision, and the Minister will say more about it very soon”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.

As the Head of Government emphasized, this says it all about who pays genuine attention to education, future generations, and who intentionally wrecked the system of education.
