Part of the medical staff is holding a protest rally near Tbilisi Republican Hospital.

They are expressing their objection to the Ministry of Health’s decision on compensation and conveying their lack of confidence in the agency.

“Our primary request is to maintain the continuous operation of the collective at the Republican Hospital. These individuals have been working together for many years, combining with the energy of younger generations. This synergy is crucial for the development of medicine.

Compensation might be offered in a way that prompts a person to abandon their profession entirely, but that is not what we are talking about. We aim to preserve an essential aspect of Georgian medicine, ensuring that future generations have the opportunity to receive proper education”, - said one of the doctors, Levan Gofodze.
