As a result of operative-search measures and investigative activities, the employees of Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained A.J. (DoB 1966) fot the attempted murser, while previously convicted T.Z. (DoB1969) and B.J. (DoB 1993) were arrested on the charge of non- reporting the crime.

The committed crimes envision up to 15 years in prison.

The investigation established that on September 24 of the current year, the accused A.J., on the basis of a mutual dispute, inflicted several gunshot wounds to G.J. (DoB 1993), in Tbilisi, Didi Dighomi, and hid from the scene. The wounded man was taken to the hospital, where appropriate medical care is provided to him.

As a result of the operative search measures and investigative activities, the law enforcement officers arrested A.J as a suspect.

The investigation also established that B.J. and T.Z. both witnessed the crime although failed to report to the police.

The investigation is being conducted under Articles 19-108 and 376 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies attempted murder and failure to report the crime.
