Ministry of Health, Ministry of Environment and Agriculture signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the CDCP of the US Department of Health

The Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health, and Social Protection, the Environment and Agriculture Ministry, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the US Department of Health and Human Services have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The document was signed by Zurab Azarashvili, Otar Shamugia, and Kayla Lasserson.

The memorandum outlines the priority directions for the 5-year cooperation of the parties.

The main objectives include enhancing disease surveillance systems, intensifying efforts for the prevention, timely detection, and response to infectious diseases, providing technical assistance for basic and scientific research, and offering training and capacity building in the health and veterinary sector.

The agreement also emphasizes continuous professional training for the human resources of the public health system.
